I appreciate your empathy towards John, and the fact that you said you'd probably do worse. Not everyone sees this. He really did the best he could, and in a lot of ways, he did incredibly well.

Oh, and yes, possessive Dean is ridiculously hot. I try to not write a lot of that stuff, because I believe it can all too easily romanticize possessive behavior of guys in real life, and trust me, that sort of thing should be a massive red flag for anyone.
