God, this makes me so anxious about how Azazel's plans are going to play out. I want them to fail so bad, I can't stomach the idea of angry!Sam going darkside, that storyline in canon was hard enough to bear. Let's hope that in the context of your fantastic fic Azazel's misjudgements are as vital and far-reaching as I want them to be.

I appreciate you showing the demons' methods and lines of thinking here, and I think it is an intriguing counterpoint to the loving and pure incest of the Sam/Dean variety. So even though the whole display was awful, I can definitely see why it would be important to show.
