This was an interesting rhetorical device. Hard to read, hard to write, but effective.

It's always interesting to me when the incest taboo is brought up as both a universal (which it is not) and a clearly defined term (also not). It's not even a universal legal issue, as every state has different laws in place. I've seen your discussions on tumblr now, and I think I get the dividing line you're demonstrating here.

Have you ever read Jack Ketchum? He has a collection of short stories called Peaceable Kingdom and he kind of uses this same approach between two different stories.
