Message to my readers (Sure Got a Dirty Mouth)

Due to an absolutely crushing, unprecedented work load and school obligations on top of that, I have not been able to update Sure Got a Dirty Mouth as often as I hoped. Due to being asked repeatedly about when I will update again, with ever-increasing degrees of urgency, I have decided to let all my readers know to not expect any more updates of Sure Got a Dirty Mouth until the beginning of April. Rather than put myself through even more pressure trying to steal time from sleeping or basic physical self-care to write a new chapter, and feeling guilt every single day that I don't manage to do it, I have decided it would be kinder to my readers and myself to simply set a limit that I will not write any more of this story for the next two months.

If you appreciate what I do and respect me as a person, please do not ask for updates, and respect that I will write more as soon as I possibly can. IF I am able to write something sooner (and that is an IF of epic proportion), I will, but please do not expect one or ask about the next chapter. I absolutely love your investment in this story and your continued support, and I am grateful for both. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been so swamped in RL and that people have been putting pressure on you here on top of that! We're probably all just so invested in this fic that sometimes people forget that there might be other priorities for the writers. I'm sorry! ♥

And while I'm of course sad to see you taking a break, I completely understand and wish you all the best for all those pesky RL things. :) Take care of yourself, and we'll be waiting here patiently for the next update. Thank you for the heads-up, and of course for all the effort you've already put into this marvellous piece of writing - the wait will definitely be worth it. *hugs*

Well, maybe we should tell them to heed this icon as their new motto or something, heh. ;) But yeah, I'm sorry you've been so badgered. I sometimes fear that my enthusiasm and craving for more might feel like pressure to the writers, so I'm glad it didn't come across like that for you.

I think we should all be aware that your fics are like a gift for us and should never feel like an obligation to you or that you owe us more or anything like that. This is not your job and we should never make you feel like it is. You're what's important here after all, so it's good that you're taking time off to take care of work and most importantly yourself. I hope things will calm down for you soon! All the best!

I mean, sure, many of us would like to play in Happy Fangirl Land all the time. But the grown-ups know that is RL, bills have to be paid and work needs to be done.

You don't owe anyone anything. You are providing people with free entertainment with a wonderful story but sometimes, RL in a pain in the ass and has to be dealt with first.

You take care of you. You do what you need to do. That is what is important. People need to put on their big girl panties and deal with it.
